 Hey Job Seekers! It’s a joy to get selected for a job in the early days of your career life. But it takes immense knowledge and a lot of effort to crack an interview with a bang! Not only a strong skillset, but knowledge of what is usually asked in a job interview is also very important. You should always know about the common questions for job interview. Are you a Fresher who doesn’t have any idea about interviews? Then here is the most accurate thing that you will ever come across! 




1. Tell me about yourself?

   Tips:- 

         *Keep it short

         *Your Name

         *Experience if any

         *Your Skills

         *Why are you right fit for this job?  


  



Example:-

My Name is XXX, I am an engineering graduate specialized  in Computer science Engineering. I graduated from XY College and have an overall CGPA OF 8.3. I have a good understanding of C programming, Java, SQL that I have learnt on Udemy. Our Final year project is based on Raspberry pi microcontroller using which we made a Surveillance Robot. I am excited at the thought of the opportunity to apply my technical skills and experience in your company.


2. How do you get to Know about this Job?
            I got to Know about this job role through LinkedIn I have always kept myself updated with your page for a long time now. Also, I applied for this role particularly the skills required for this role quite matches my skillset. Hence, It will be a great opportunity for myself for implementing the skills.

Example:-

            All companies want to Know about the medium through which you got to know about them. You should always have some background information about the company. Be clear about the source through which you got to learn about the job.


3. What is your Greatest Weakness?


Remember the best answer to "What's your Greatest weakness?" question will be in two parts. First, The Weakness and secondly what you are doing to correct it.

*Too sensitive
*Presentation skills


Example:- 


I am a naturally shy person, and it takes time for me to open up to people and be a part of the group. This Weakness has made it challenging for me to make new friends, and it's my goal to learn to be more of an extrovert. Starting a new job would be a great opportunity for myself to try to speak up to a group of people. I want to become a person who can crack jokes in group and still be confident about it. I believe that as I talk with people more, my shyness begins to fade away.




4. Why should I hire you?


 I believe that I will be a great fit for this role as the skills required for this job matches my skillset. Moreover, your company will surely prove to be an excellent platform for me to establish my skills and knowledge in corporate world. Even though I am a fresher, I will assure you that I will give my maximum result by working to my full potential.


5.Why are you not going for further studies?
In answer to this question you can tell the interviewer that you are simply looking for some work experience instead of pursuing higher education 




Example:-

I am not planning to study further right now. Rather, I am keenly interested to have a good work experience before going for further studies, so that I can develop more skills and work ethics.


6. What motivates you at work?

This is a very important question in the whole interview process. Employers ask this question to 

 *Learn more about your personality.

*To determine whether you are a good fit for this role and company

*To assess your level of self awareness.





Some of the motivators that you can say:

*Exceeding Expectations at work

*Stability or Job security

*Leadership

*Working to Deadlines

*A Great Work culture

*Growing my professional Network

*Overcoming challenges at work and so on.


Example:

I am motivated by working with other people. I found that during University, my best ideas came when working on group projects. I would bounce well of others and I found rewarding helping to spur the team on to succeed. I enjoy relationship-building and being part of a group, so this would be my answer to what motivates me to do well in a job.


7. What is your Greatest strength?
Tip:- Your strength should reflect the requirements of the role.

*Empathy



      8. Why are your scores low?
Honesty will serve you a great price while answering this questions. Focus on the positive point of view and then answer the question.
Example:-
My marks were less during college days because I was focusing on the development of skills. I was trying to gain experience in corporate world in form of internships. Apparently I was focused more on acquiring skills during my summer training and project works than my scores in academics.
9. What is your Salary Expectations?

You can use several platforms to gather knowledge about what average salary is been offered to the entry level candidates for that particular role.

Example:-

I am seeking a position within the range of ___ to ___ . From what I have gathered this is the average salary for this role. However, I am willing to negotiate the terms, considering the benefits that would be part of the job


10. Do you prefer working alone or in an Team?
Be sure about the nature of the job role that you have applied and accordingly answer. For Instance, you can say the below mentioned points.

      If you Prefer alone :-    

                                          It has the advantages of giving me room to focus. I understand this position will require me to initiate projects independently much of the time. With my experience I am confident that this role will suit my personality.

                                                                                      

    If you Prefer Team:-

        I love working with team with diverse professionals that motivates me and engage me as this allows me to use my creativity and learn from others on the job. I know the position with your company will require me to be a part of a larger team and thus I will be comfortable working with team as I will learn new things and implement it as well.


11. Do you have any questions for us?

Most of the Interview process ends with the question. First show the interviewer your gratitude for this opportunity. For Example " Thank you so much sir/ Ma'am for providing and conducting the interview for me". Never say "NO". This is the wonderful chance for you to express your curiosity about the job and the company. You can ask any positive questions which will add up to your personality.


Example:-

*According to you what are the qualities that new employees must have for the job? and what are the qualities that I have from that

*What do you most like about the company and your job role?

*Would you like to give me any feedback or advice?






These are the most generally asked HR questions. These questions may vary from Individual to Individual. The key point is be focused and whatever you tell make sure you say it in simple English and give a appropriate reason for the same. Apart from this, there are some academics question that will be asked from the field of study you have chosen. Believe that you can crack the interview and you will.
